We closed on the house today!!!!!!!!!!!! Keys come tomorrow!
Met with the landscaper to make a hasty selection. Not happy about this part of the process, since we were rushed because he did not contact us until the last possible minute. Also had no clue on how much this was going to cost, so we had to scale back for now. EPA is pushing for the ground to be stabilized ASAP since we have protected woodlands behind us.
Walkthrough is today and I’m hoping to see some of the little things that I had questions about fixed without me saying anything.
Back in the state this week and the house is done. They are adding the final touches and fixing it up for the walkthrough. Waiting for closing day now!
Stopped at th ehouse during lunch. Talked to the electrician about the final things needed like the fan and the HMDI cables being snaked. Also met the landscaper, so I will be receiving quotes for the landscaping. 22 Days till closing!
August 10 is our official closing date. Carpet and electrical gets installed this week! We’re close to the end!!
No pictures of the house this week. We stopped in to grab the keys and look, but our sales agent was on vacation and the new one did not know where the keys were. No matter, since we peeked in and saw they were painting and staining. I doubt it would have been a good time in there. On a plus note, our appliances are inside the house, minus our washer, dryer and refrigerator which we bought last week on sale.
We should be closing on 8/10. Which means WE will be in the house before mine and my grandmother’s birthday!
Alicia and I stopped at the house tonight and were thrilled! The trim and doors are completed upstairs and the cabinets are installed everywhere. The paint seems to be mostly done, but it was hard to see because it was late. Will stop in after work to take more pictures.
